Many visa applicants and applicants for other immigration
benefits can now check their case status on the internet.
In order to use this system, applicants must have a receipt
number for a petition or application filed at a US Citizenship
and Immigration Services (USCIS) Service Center.
Applicants without a receipt number must call the USCIS National
Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or visit a local
USCIS branch office to obtain information about their case.
